How to install a threaded quick-connect fitting? It's easy!

The threaded quick-connect fitting is easy to install. Many people don’t know how to install this type of fitting, but it’s actually very easy! If you have the tools and installation materials ready, you can start installing it. Next, let’s learn how to install it step by step.

1. Confirm the connector to be used
Selecting the right connector is very important to ensure a good connection. Therefore, before installation, please confirm that the connector you are using is suitable for the device you are connecting.
2. Preparation
Before installation, you need to prepare some tools and materials. These usually include a wrench, a screwdriver, some insulating tape and lubricant.
3. Clean pipes and interfaces
Make sure all surfaces of equipment and pipes are clean. If there are any impurities and residues on pipes and connections, they may reduce the operating efficiency of the connector. Clean the connection with a soft cloth and rinse with clear water.
4. Apply lubricating oil or ointment
Before inserting the threaded quick-connect fitting, you need to apply lubricant to the threads of the fitting. This will not only reduce the friction resistance during insertion, but also prevent rust and corrosion caused by damaged contact.
5. Insert the connector
Once you have applied the lubricant and are ready to insert the fitting, make sure the threads are aligned so that the fitting can be inserted more smoothly. Use a wrench to grab the threads of the fitting and easily screw it into the pipe.
6. Tighten the joint
After placing the joint, use a wrench to gently rotate the joint into the pipe until you hear a “click” sound. In this step, use lubricant to make the joint smoother.
7. Clean the pipes
When all steps are completed, the pipes need to be cleaned of any remaining lubricants and other substances. This can be done using alcohol or detergent.

In general, the installation of threaded quick-connect fittings is very simple and can generally be done in just a few steps. As long as you correctly select the appropriate fitting, prepare the tools and materials, clean the pipes and joints, apply lubricant, insert the fitting and tighten the fitting.
